POP ART, the other design style


Pop art is derived from the Popular Art. The definition of pop art, art that utilizes the flow of symbols and visual styles that come dar popular media such as newspapers, television, advertising, etc. The flow is growing in Britain and America between the years 1960-1970.
 

Pop Art is a character using a visual element: dot / dot raster derived from a printing technique in the mass media, interjection, an element found in comics such as balloons. typically use a model derived from celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe. and none like any other art, pop art receive a doubling of either using manual or mechanical means such as Photocopy art. Pop basically derived from the Popular Culture, which is a phrase to describe a low culture because it has more to do with the issue of entertainment, commercial and even tastes of the general public .

 
Pop art in the design

This design style lasts around the mid 60's until well into 1970. due to the influence of pop art in the design, there is an attempt to revive the traditional American elements. such as flat or block color techniques and aoutline in comics. while those associated with traditional hand is like a type of letter, traditional ornaments and raised the style of art deco and art nouveau, or often referred to as a Revivalism. Besides the effects of pop culture art, posters will also appear as a media craze expression of social protest movements like the movement of human rights defenders. the environmental movement, the movement of peace and women's rights movement. because the mass media and the general public associate it with the media establishment values​​, rock, psychadelic drugs then this is called psychadelic style poster art.
